Today, we had our next EFI seminar, organized by Prof. Aldo R. Boccaccini, Institute of Biomaterials, and given by Prof. Stephanie Willerth, University of Victoria, Canada. She gave an inspiring talk about “3D bioprinting personalized neural tissues for drug screening”. It was a joint seminar with the series of the Collaborative Research Centre SFB/TRR 225 “From the fundamentals of biofabrication towards functional tissue models” with more than 90 attendees.

We are grateful to Prof. Willerth for her excellent presentation in a research area attracting increasing interest. Her impressive work is highly relevant and an exciting possible application for our novel biopolymer hydrogels and simulation framework developed within our emerging fields initiative (EFI) project by the FAU.
